& Linette Williamson MD, ABEM, ABAARM

We are passionate about helping people create and sustain optimal health. Our goal is to empower people to take charge of their own health and achieve the best possible health outcomes in every stage of life.

Meet Heidi Arens FNP, IFMCP

My health care journey started as a Registered Nurse working in the acute care hospital setting specializing in cardiology. I cared for chronically sick people with heart attacks, strokes, dysrhythmias, end stage heart failure, uncontrolled diabetes, and a myriad of metabolic derangements, etc.

Over the course of 11 years, I worked in 9 hospitals across 2 states in a variety of departments. I was a member of numerous hospital-wide committees devoted to improving outcomes and care delivery. I loved caring for people in critical condition and being part of phenomenal teams administering life-saving treatments.

No doubt, this was fascinating and rewarding work. However, I quickly realized that our health care system was well equipped to manage acute illness, emergencies, and complications, but poorly equipped to prevent chronic illness, investigate root causes of illness, restore balance to the body, or create vibrant health. These require very different approaches, philosophies, and skill sets.

I saw too many people fall through the cracks of our health care system without adequate guidance, education, or personalized care to properly address their complex needs. I saw too many people succumb to chronic illnesses that were largely preventable. I knew there had to be a better solution for a more preventative, comprehensive and sustainable approach.

This propelled me on a journey to build a bigger toolkit, one that could help people attain the kind of vibrant health that would improve the trajectory of their lives.

My Experience

I received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2008 and a master of science degree in nursing from Azusa Pacific University in 2017, followed by a certification in functional medicine by the Institute for Functional Medicine. I also completed certifications in ozone and prolozone therapies and have undergone years of extensive training and mentorship in the areas of environmental illness, mold/biotoxin illness, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), IV Ozone/Hyperbaric Ozone Therapy, Nutritional IV & IV Phospholipid therapy, prolozone injection therapy, alternative cancer therapy, cardiometabolic illness, autoimmunity, hormone replacement therapy, thyroid dysfunction, gastrointestinal related disorders, detoxification, weight loss, lifestyle medicine, and nutrition.

I am proud to be a lifelong learner. Over many years of additional training, I have developed (and continue to develop) a diverse health toolkit, which enables me to provide highly personalized care that encompasses the best of many healing modalities. All of this has taught me that the human body has a miraculous propensity for healing when it’s in a state of balance. My goal is to help investigate what to add, remove, or further support in order to restore the body’s innate self-healing mechanisms. I focus on building partnerships that allow me to collaborate, guide, coach, educate, and motivate you on your journey from sickness to wellness or optimizing any state of health you may find yourself in. I partner with each person to identify his or her unique health goals and together we create a personalized roadmap to achieve them. My goal is to help you create a healthy fully functional life free of disease.

I look forward to embarking on this health journey together.
